The Best Time to Meditate!

Sunrise. Sunset. Midnight. Noon. Three in the morning. Three in the afternoon. Right after you wake up. Right before you go to sleep. Later. Now.
There are a lot of great times to meditate, but there's one that sticks out for me as the absolute best time to meditate, especially if you practice Heart Rhythm Meditation: when you don't want to.
The more you don't want to meditate, the more you need to. There's probably something you're hiding from, and your heart knows what it is.
Now, I'm not saying we should all meditate all the time, because we have work to do. We came here to create, to express, to build, to change, to enjoy and to experience all that life has to offer. But I do feel that every day should contain some time spent feeling the beating of your heart, experiencing your breath flowing in and out, feeling your emotions deeply, and connecting with the purpose of your life.
Here’s an idea that will help you get started: place your hand on your heart, and take eleven breaths. That’s it. Just eleven breaths. You can take more, but don’t take less. Even if you breathe very slowly, this exercise won’t take more than a few minutes. You can do it anywhere, driving a car, standing in line, taking the bus, whenever you think of it.
Over time, taking eleven breaths through you heart each day may make you want to spend more time with the incredible feeling of energizing your heart. I encourage you to follow this feeling. But even if eleven breaths is all you ever do, you’ll be making a big impact on your heart and in your life.
